This workshop provided us with a framework for understanding the complexity of stuttering, the tools to work with this population of kids, ways of developing appropriate IEPs.

Side note: International Stuttering Awareness Day is October 22nd.

The presenter sorted out myths/facts about stuttering and its cause. It is not psychological.

Stuttering is a developmental neurologically based disorder.

Goal is not to increase fluency but to increase the control of the stuttering.
