What a luxury it would be to reach out across the globe and interact with a matched class, all while collaborating via video conferencing. Well Empatico.org, an initiative of The Kind Foundation, has launched an early stage tool that will allow teachers and their students, the ability to use seamless video conferencing technology, all at the cost of $0. The belief is that if students have the opportunity to attempt standards-based activities with students from other parts of the world, Empatico believes that they will explore their similarities and differences with curiosity and kindness, while developing practical communication and leadership skills.
